Emily is a Talent Principal at Gradient Ventures.
With a love of all things process, Emily helps create robust hiring practices that balance thoughtfulness, inclusivity, and efficiency to build incredible teams. She leads Gradient’s Recruiting 101 and 201 courses for founders, helping build skills specifically in early-stage hiring best practices.
She also works closely with portfolio companies to strategically plan for executive recruiting and organizational development. Before Gradient, Emily was a Principal Consultant at Parker Remick, a boutique executive search firm. Emily graduated from Western Washington University with a degree in Communication.
In her spare time, Emily loves reading at an extreme level, making pottery in her home studio, and spending time with her partner, stepdaughter and dog, Cashew.
